Abstract Submission and Review Process
Retaining or Updating your Abstract
If the abstract you originally submitted was accepted you will have received an email from the WSC secretariat giving you the following options:
1. continue with the abstract as is
2. make minor revisions to the abstract
3. submit a new abstract
4. withdraw the abstract entirely
Please respond to this email ASAP to let us know your preference.
New Submissions
The abstract portal was re-opened for a short period until 31 July 2022. This call is now closed.
Please note that the portal will not reopen for the Computational Sanskrit and Digital Humanities section. Contributions to this section have already been finalised.
Next Review Process
New abstracts will be reviewed in August 2022 and you will be notified of the outcome in early September 2022.
Feedback for abstracts that are not accepted
The program committee has managed an overwhelming number of abstracts for WSC2023 and the quality of abstracts overall is very high. It is not possible to accommodate all abstracts in the program. Please understand that we cannot provide individual feedback regarding the reviewer results for each abstract. We do hope that you will be able to attend the conference in 2023 even if you are not presenting your work. There will be many valuable networking and educational opportunities.
Presenting at the online conference
Before the conference, accepted authors will provide their discussion papers, audio or video presentations to be viewed by participants. There will also be virtual panel sessions for what we hope will be lively Q&A workshops with authors. We will provide guidance for you so you can prepare for the conference. Click here for some initial guidance.
You can still participate in the conference if your abstract is not accepted
You can still attend the conference if you are not presenting your work. We do hope that you will be able to participate in the conference in 2023 even if you are not presenting your work. There will be many valuable networking and educational opportunities.
